Case Studies

Below are testimonials from some of the many clients whose pets Daniela has been able to help.

Mr Everly & Poppy, 3yr old Labrador

"Having trained dogs in the police force, I thought training a Labrador puppy to walk to heel would be a walk in the park. I couldn't have been more wrong! Even with a choke chain walking Poppy was like water skiing as I was pulled left and right.

I saw Daniela for only one session. To my astonishment Poppy was walking by Daniela's side in minutes. It took me a while to get the knack and to put the harness on, but now she walks perfectly. I can't believe that with Daniela's instruction it took me only one session to do what I had been trying to achieve for three years. Thank you!"

Burton family & Slinky, 6mth old corn snake

(Miss Burton): "When mummy let me have a snake for my birthday I was very happy. But I was very sad when Slinky did not like me to hold him. All he would do was hide all day.

Daniela showed me how to stroke him and hold him without him getting wriggly. Now he comes out to say hello and I can hold him."

(Mrs. Burton): "When my daughter was unable to handle her snake it was such a disappointment. We thought about rehoming him as she was getting no enjoyment from him. We were worried that he may eventually become neglected as she lost interest.

A friend put me in touch with Daniela. She was a great help. I didn't know you could get a shrink for a snake but it certainly worked! Many thanks from Mr Slinky and the Burton family!"

Mr & Mrs Phillips & Bruno, 6yr old male Persian cat

"When my cat had to be tranquilised yet again to be shaved at our vets, Daniela approached me saying that she thought she might be able to help with Bruno's aggression. Bruno has always lived as a feral and we hadn't been able to touch him for years. I was very skeptical and put her card into a drawer to gather dust, until Bruno was diagnosed with kidney failure and the vet said he could no longer be tranquilised.

Daniela talked us through different methods. Some of them seemed a bit peculiar initially, e.g. stroking him with a paintbrush, but we perservered as we were worried he may need to be put to sleep if he became matted again. We are still working with Daniela, but he has come along in leaps and bounds. He will now come to sit on our laps asking to be stroked and we are able to cut any mats out."

Mrs Sheppard & Zoltan, 11yr old German Shepherd

"Zoltan has always been a very well behaved dog. We had rescued him when he was five years old. Zoltan had never travelled particularly well. He would always drool excessively in the car and would sometimes be sick, but he slowly became worse and eventually refused to even step foot in the car.

After everything we could think to stop the travel sickness we contacted Daniela. She was very kind and offered us some hope. Daniela suggested that we took Zoltan for a check up at the vets before we saw her.

Zoltan had some tests that showed he was suffering with arthritis and was put on some medication to take away the pain. He seemed a lot more mobile on walks, but still refused to get in the car. It was at this point we booked our first consultation with Daniela.

She suggested that he might feel unsteady on his legs when travelling in the car and that he may find it painful jumping into the boot. We bought a dog ramp and with a little encouragement he walked straight in.

After doing some pleasant association with Zoltan being in the car, walking him round the confidence course and learning how to reduce his anxiety with touches Zoltan was soon travelling with us to Cornwall with no difficulty. We had to take baby steps, but after only three sessions Zoltan is happy to get in the car and is rarely ill. We are very grateful to Daniela for all her help."
